Nanomanipulators for the control of cell differentiation

We are developing nanoagents that are supposed to penetrate into different stem cells with the help of special receptor ligands. Because the respective receptors are overexpressed on certain stem cell types, the approach offers controlled delivery into stem cells even in complex cellular environments. Our nanoagents are si- und mi-RNA dendrimers assembled around a core structure using complex iterative click chemistry. They are supposed to be able to control the development of embryonic or neuronal stem cells into different cellular lineages.
