Enzyme networks by design

Molecular networks are the basis of life. Enzymes play a central role in their regulation. In this project we design and assemble networks of enzymes, molecule for molecule by AFM-based Single-Molecule Cut and Paste. We will control stoichiometry, composition, and interaction at the level of individual molecules and adjust their relative couplings by the geometry of their arrangement. We will follow the response function of each of these networks by tracking the products at the single molecule level with fluorescence optics.
